The Virtual MRI Scanner (FAST Bloch equation simulator) is now seamlessly integrated to SequenceTree4. You can check it out on Windows by downloading the latest binary .zip file from http://code.google.com/p/sequencetree/downloads/list

If you don't have Qt 4.4 installed, you will also need to download the Qt4.4 .dlls from http://sequencetree.googlecode.com/files/qt-4.4.0-dlls-mingw.zip

and extract these to the ST bin directory.

See the wiki for more specific installation instructions.

Two "Virtual" phantoms are available: cube and cylinder.

Use the "Open sequence from web" menu option to download one of the basic sequences to try out: spgr.sts or radial.sts. Use the "Export to Virtual Scanner" option.

You can also incorporate Matlab-style reconstruction code into your sequences (this has been done for the two above mentioned sequences), but you will need to wait for ChainLink integration (coming soon) to use this capability.

There is also a new tutorial movie on the wiki regarding virtual scanner usage.

Enjoy!
